Reinder Bruinsma Elected of the
Belgium-Luxembourg Conference

On September  18, the delegates of the Belgium Luxembourg Conference, elected Dr. Reinder Bruinsma as the new  President.

Retired in 2007, Pastor Bruinsma is an experienced administrator. He was executive secretary of the Trans European Division (TED) (1995-2001), and President of the Netherlands Union (2002-2007).

“Reinder Bruinsma has had a long experience in the administration of the church as he served in the TED,” Bruno Vertallier, Euro Africa Division President. “He has accepted this position in spite of the fact that he was already retired. Brother Bruinsma is well known in Belgium and his expertise in both languages French and Dutch will greatly help the communication between the people.

“He will be a powerful resource to support the objectives of the world church and he will encourage the local field to engage into them. We wish brother Bruinsma the many blessings from the Lord and courage for the time he will serve in the Belgium-Luxembourg Conference.”

Bruinsma and his wife, Aafje, will continue to live in the Netherlands.

The Belgium Luxembourg Conference is part of the Franco-Belgium Union and the Euro-Africa Division. The conference  has over 2000 members with a rich cultural diversity, including Dutch, French, English, Spanish, Rumanian, and Russian speaking churches.
